Job summary

Sysco Foods in Dayton, OH, is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance inspections and expert repairs aimed at reducing downtime and improving fleet reliability.

You will inspect and repair a wide range of components, diagnose malfunctions, and document work while utilizing Sysco computer programs. A valid CDL? no; a valid driver's license is required. Overtime opportunities exist as needed.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training and a high school diploma or GED are required.
• 2-year school plus 1 year experience or 3 years fleet maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Complete annual inspections and DVIRs for fleet vehicles as required.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs per manufacturer specs across engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Document all work on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
• Operate and test electrical meters; handle welding and fabrication as needed.
