Job summary

Sysco in Liberty, MO is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment. You will diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and hydraulic components to maximize safety and reliability.

You must have heavy/medium duty truck training and a high school diploma or GED, with experience using OEM diagnostic tools and maintaining meticulous service records.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidate will have formal training in heavy/medium duty truck maintenance and repair.
• Experience with OEM diagnostic software and in-depth vehicle systems knowledge required.
• Ability to perform inspections, preventive maintenance and reliable repairs per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance within planned time tolerances to maximize reliability and safety.
• Carry out Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles and related equipment per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, electrical and hydraulic systems per manufacturer specs.
• Document work performed on work orders and maintain accurate records.
• Operate and test electrical meters and diagnostic equipment; use tools provided by Sysco or owned by the technician.
