Job summary

Sysco Careers in the United States seeks a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert diagnostics on a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment. You will ensure safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency across the fleet, with responsibilities spanning electrical systems, diagnostics, and periodic inspections.

You will document work, use Sysco computer programs, and collaborate with teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training is required.
High school diploma or GED is required.
2-year school and 1 year experience or 3 years in fleet maintenance and repair.
Current and valid driver’s license.
Annual Inspector Certification and Brake Inspector Certification are required.
ASE certifications (preferred, not required) and 609 HVAC certification.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
Complete annual FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles per regs.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specs.
Document all work on work orders and learn Sysco software.
Proficient in electrical meter testing and low-voltage controls.
Perform electrical repairs and welding as needed.
