Sysco Careers in Missouri seeks a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to provide safe, reliable, cost-efficient vehicle service. You will perform preventive inspections, diagnose issues, and repair equipment to minimize downtime and extend fleet life.

This full-time role requires experience with heavy-duty trucks, electrical and mechanical systems, and following regulatory safety guidelines. Tools are provided; you supply your own basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• ASE certifications preferred, not required.
• 609 HVAC certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual FAI/CVI inspections on tractors, trailers, and other equipment per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications across engines and transmissions.
• Document work orders and use Sysco computer programs for maintenance records.
• Utilize diagnostic software and fundamental welding/cutting to complete repairs.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations in all work performed.
