Job summary

Republic Services is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician A to diagnose multi-system issues and perform complex repairs on diesel and non-diesel fleet equipment. You will service chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, HVAC, and electrical systems, ensuring high reliability for drivers and routes.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspect/repair heavy truck systems with limited supervision in some areas.
• CDL certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs complex repair work on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and braking systems diagnostic and repair.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• He/She can diagnose diesel fuel systems and fuel systems diagnostics.
• Suspend., drivetrain and steering work.
• HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Aftertreatment systems diagnostics and REGEN.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools.
• Line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools.
• Complete required Company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
