Job summary

The HOLT Group is seeking a Shop Service Technician 2 in Laredo to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered heavy equipment. This role involves disassembly and reassembly to manufacturer specifications and providing strong customer relations, with independent work and team collaboration as needed.

Entry-level to mid-level candidates with relevant experience will be considered; there is emphasis on quality, safety, and ongoing professional development within the MAC department.

Qualifications

• Two years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability to read/use schematics and diagrams; experience preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel-powered equipment following established procedures.
• Disassemble and assemble machine components to manufacturer specs using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Mentor technicians and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs and ensure timely parts orders.
