Job summary

HOLT CAT is seeking a heavy construction Shop Service Technician for our Cleburne, TX location. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered heavy equipment per established procedures, working independently or as part of a team to meet customer needs and departmental goals.

Mid-level position with 4+ years of experience; Level III Technician capabilities include handling standard and complex tasks with minimal supervision. Travel is expected occasionally.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability to read/use schematics and diagrams (experience preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment and components.
• Demonstrates good customer relations and supports shop management.
• Plans and controls cost of repair jobs.
• Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return.
• Mentors and helps train other technicians.
• Maintains clean and safe work areas and adheres to safety policies.
