Job summary

HOLT CAT in Cleburne, TX is seeking a Shop Service Technician 3 for heavy construction equipment. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered machinery following established procedures, working independently or in a team to meet customer needs and departmental goals.

This mid-level role requires more than four years of experience; Level III technician performs standard to complex tasks, often on large projects, with self-starting and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability and knowledge to read/use schematics and diagrams experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer’s specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling
• Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components
• Mentors and helps train other technicians
• Maintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition
• Completes all documents associated with repairs in a timely manner
