Job summary

HOLT CAT is seeking a Mechanic for their Power Systems Division in Longview, WA. This full-time position requires expertise in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered heavy equipment. Ideal candidates will have over four years of relevant experience and must be skilled in using hand and pneumatic tools.

Mechanics at HOLT CAT will also perform maintenance, assist in training junior technicians, and maintain equipment cleanliness and order. A focus on safety and quality service is essential.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel or natural gas engines experience.
• Ability to read/use schematics and diagrams is preferred.
• Experience in mechanic hand and pneumatic tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of heavy equipment.
• Rebuild, repair, and maintain equipment and components.
• Mentor and help train other technicians.

Skills

Knowledge of machines and tools

Industrial diesel and natural gas engines rebuilding

Proficiency with CAT ET & CAT SIS software

Quality control analysis skills

Ability to operate tools and equipment

Basic mechanic hand and pneumatic tools

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduation from a diesel technology program
