Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Morgan City, LA is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on engines at customer sites with minimal direction.

The role offers a sign-on bonus for external candidates, relocation assistance, and competitive pay and benefits. The technician will complete repairs on engine products in the field and at client sites, use diagnostic tools, and maintain detailed service records while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics.
• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
• Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
• Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.
• Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.
• Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in the field and client sites.
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Ongoing development/certifications on Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.
