Job summary
Cummins Inc. in Elko, NV is seeking a Field Service Diesel Technician to perform maintenance and basic repairs on engines at customer sites. The role includes on-site service, tool maintenance, and ongoing certification development with competitive pay and benefits.
Ideal candidates will have basic engine knowledge, familiarity with diagnostic software, and the ability to work nonstandard shifts as needed. A valid license and DOT considerations apply for field work.
Qualifications
- Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics.
- Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
- Understands access to engine repair process information sources.
- Understands after-treatment system and basic component functions.
- Has worked on external diesel engine components and basic concepts.
- Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software.
Responsibilities
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
- Maintain own tools.
