Job summary

Cummins Inc. in the United States is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose and complete less complex engine repairs at customer sites.

This role involves interacting with customers professionally, preparing parts and tools, and performing preventive maintenance per published schedules and standards. Responsibilities include documenting service activities, escalating complex issues, and identifying additional service opportunities.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
• Locally valid driving permit.
• This position may require licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations.
• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.
• Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and completes less complex engine repairs at customer sites in compliance with procedures.
• Engages customers professionally and documents service activities.
• Prepares parts and tools, and performs preventive maintenance per schedules.
• Escalates issues to senior technicians as needed and maintains service documentation.
• Identifies additional service opportunities and participates in training as required.
