Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair diesel engines at customer sites, performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs in the field.

You will document work performed, parts used, and troubleshooting steps, while maintaining a clean vehicle and equipment. This role requires 2+ years of diesel engine repair experience, a valid CDL may be required, and adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel engine or heavy-duty equipment repair experience
• CDL may be required to operate commercial vehicles
• Experience reading and interpreting service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems in the field.
• Perform preventative maintenance and major/minor repairs while following safety and manufacturer procedures.
• Communicate repair findings and updates with customers, service coordinators, and the team; document work performed and parts used.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians and supervisors as needed.
• Maintain service vehicle and tools; ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
