Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel/CNG fleet mechanic in Corpus Christi, TX. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain our heavy-vehicle fleet, perform standard inspections, and test-drive trucks to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires strong diagnostic abilities, familiarity with DOT rules, and a willingness to obtain a CDL if not already held. Responsibilities include performing electronic diagnostics, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
• Brake and emissions system knowledge.
• Ability to read safety and maintenance manuals.
• CDL (Class A/B) preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain GFL’s Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Inspect brakes, engines, emissions, steering, wheels for proper operation.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper function.
• Perform electronic diagnostics and repair electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Complete DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Prepare reports and order parts; perform daily administrative duties.
