Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking an experienced diesel and CNG fleet mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain our trucks. You will perform inspections, test drives, and electronic diagnostics to ensure a safe, road-ready fleet.

Under supervision, you will complete DOT brake inspections, order parts, and keep precise maintenance records while adhering to safety regulations and continuous training opportunities.

Qualifications

3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and related regulations.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety and maintenance manuals.
Experience using diagnostic software; computer literate and trainable in software systems.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
Perform brake, engine, emission and steering inspections for safety.
Test drive trucks to identify malfunctions and verify fixes.
Conduct electronic diagnostics and repair electrical/hydraulic systems.
Complete DOT and brake inspections; maintain accurate reports and records.
Order parts and complete work orders; follow schedules and safety rules.
Maintain a clean, safe working area and participate in training.
