Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Indiana seeks an experienced diesel/CNG technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet to keep it road-ready. You will perform brake, engine, and emission system inspections, conduct test drives, and handle electronic diagnostics under supervision.

The role requires 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience; CDL is preferred or obtainable within six months. Safety certifications and willingness to train on software systems are important.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
• Class A or B CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain one within six months.
• Brake safety certificate and 609 A/C system certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain GFL’s Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Complete basic inspection of brakes, engines, emissions, steering, wheel bearings and related parts.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Perform electronic diagnostics and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform admin duties daily.
• Complete work as scheduled by shop supervision or higher-grade technicians.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean work area.
