Job summary

GFL - Sewer Technologies Division is seeking a Mechanic B to diagnose, repair, and maintain the company’s Diesel and CNG fleet. You will perform brake and engine inspections, test drive for malfunctions, and conduct electrical/hydraulic repairs under supervision.

Qualifications include 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance, CDL preferred, ASE certifications preferred, and familiarity with DOT/OSHA regulations. A CDL within six months is desirable. Maintain safety and a clean work area.

Qualifications

• DOT/OSHA and related regulations knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively across organization and with customers/vendors.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Experience with diagnostic software is preferred and computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain GFL’s Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Complete basic inspections of brake systems, engines, emissions, steering, bearings.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform electrical and hydraulic system diagnostics and repairs.
• Conduct DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports and work orders; order parts as required daily.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean work area.
