Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a skilled diesel/CNG mechanic to service and repair our fleet onsite in North Carolina. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform maintenance, and ensure road-readiness of trucks.

Candidates should have 3+ years in diesel/CNG maintenance, knowledge of DOT/OSHA rules, and ability to operate diagnostic software. CDL is preferred; ASE certs are a plus. This role requires strong safety practices, clear communication with shop staff, and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing Diesel/CNG fleets.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance instructions and safety rules.
• Experience with electronic diagnostics and vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform standard electronic diagnostics and repair electrical systems.
• Complete DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports and order parts as required daily.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
