Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a 2nd shift operator to support a manufacturing operation focused on productivity and quality. You will lead a machine crew, perform setups and changeovers, and conduct quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy and zero defects.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety rules, lock-out tag-out procedures, and proactive problem solving. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and US work authorization, with overtime and weekend

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and possess problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity, decreasing downtime and waste.
• Lead machine crew with setups and changeovers by mounting printing plates and/or cutting dies.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure product meets required dimensions and there are zero material defects.
• Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Problem solve when issues arise with machine.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
