Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) operates as a Fortune 500 company with a focus on corrugated packaging. The 2nd shift (3pm–11pm) positions you on the production crew to prepare machines, stamps, and palletize products as part of a high-output operation.

Responsibilities include setting up the machine, coordinating with maintenance, and ensuring quality and safety standards while following ISO procedures. A strong reading comprehension and willingness to work overtime are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and comprehend schedules and simple instructions.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Experience in packaging or manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the machine for production and follow the customer order.
• Prepare the stencil that stamps product identification.
• Clean and oil the machine daily.
• Order pallets from the forklift driver according to the schedule.
• Ensure pallets are available at the machine for finished products.
• Monitor running orders and communicate issues to operators/maintenance.
• Palletize product for shipping per shop card.
• May feed the machine when required.
• Adhere to ISO procedures and follow operator direction.
• Work with production machines and basic tools (hammer, knife).
