Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a 1st shift operator to set up rails, print and die cut on Flexo equipment. You will inspect dies, secure cutting bolts, monitor box quality, and maximize machine capacity while reporting data on production and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, manufacturing experience, and authorization to work in the United States. Overtime and weekend work are required as needed, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Set up rails, print, and die cut sections on Flexo per setup techniques.
• Inspect dies before and after runs for repairs before next run.
• Ensure bolts for cutting dies are secure.
• Monitor box quality, including liners, warp, size, and print; check rolls for damage.
• Operate machinery to maximize capacity and speed.
• Complete reports on Production Data, Machine Status, Safety & Quality Data.
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs.
• Complete annual food packaging safety training.
• Report safety risks or concerns.
• Follow policies and maintain housekeeping.
• Suggest schedule optimizations to meet cost/quality/service goals.
