Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Springfield, IL is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Services CAP 1 track within the Clinical Advancement Program. This role provides clinically competent care, coordinating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians, while contributing to teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications include RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification, with preference for some dialysis or ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Minimum 9 months RN experience; 12 months preferred.
• 6 months acute dialysis experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis or ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessments and document in medical record.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to adjust treatment plans.
• Provide patient/family education on care needs.
• Coordinate communication with dialysis providers and facilities.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Participate in staff training and on-call rotations.
