Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program, providing and coordinating clinically competent care for a defined group of patients undergoing hemodialysis. The role includes assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and potential delegation to care staff.

As part of the ESKD care team, you will participate in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification current or completed.
• Must meet state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing duties under supervision with guidance from Educator, Preceptor, or RN team.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and adjusts the plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families on treatment and care.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents outcomes.
• Assists with emergency response measures and staff training.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary team on patient care plans.
• Ensures proper lab collection and processing.
