Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Evanston, IL is seeking an entry-level RN CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, with support from the team.

The role involves hemodialysis procedures, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with nurses, technicians, and physicians. Training is provided; advancement through CAP requirements is expected.

Qualifications

• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive data collection and evaluation during dialysis.
• Document care plans and adjust treatments with the team.
• Educate patients and families on care needs and transplant options.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Lead and train patient care staff as assigned by supervision.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing, and timely reporting.
