Fresenius Medical Care in Maplewood, MN is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). The role involves coordination of care, assessment, planning, and education for dialysis patients, with supervision from experienced staff.

Training is provided, with flexible hours to cover MWF and potential expansion to TThS. Candidates should be licensed in the state and ready to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• RN license in the applicable state.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry level RN with <2 years nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under supervision with guidance from the Clinical Educator or RN leadership.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and adjusts care plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families about care and treatment.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the health care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents effectiveness.
• Initiates emergency response measures when required.
• Acts as a resource and participates in staff training and orientation.
• Ensures proper laboratory procedures and follow-up on missed collections.
• Documents nursing assessments and care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educates patients on transplant and modality options.
• Completes CAP requirements to advance within the program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
