Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 track within the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, with potential to delegate tasks to care staff and collaborate with the ESKD health care team.

Responsibilities include data collection during dialysis, updating the care plan, educating patients and families, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments and documents the plan of care.
• Delivers hemodialysis care under supervision and with guidance from educators and RNs.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and treatment options.
• Directs safe delivery of dialysis therapy and supports team functions.
• Administers medications as prescribed and follows clinical algorithms.
• Participates in staff training and quality improvement activities.
