Job summary

Dialyze Direct is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in New York (Bronx area) to provide dialysis-related nursing care, training, and home support as needed. The role requires NY RN licensure, BLS certification, and dialysis experience; up to 25% travel may be needed.

The ideal candidate will work day shifts, collaborate with nephrologists and facility staff, document care in EMR, and maintain patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in NY.
• BLS certification required.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support (as needed).
• Works collaboratively with Dialyze Direct team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives and dedicated Nephrologists.
• Collects and records relevant patient health data in the course of/pre hemodialysis treatment.
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Implements and records interventions to attain expected outcomes in EMR.
• Performs laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedules missed or inadequate laboratory collections.
• Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care (i.e., filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.).
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues.
• Occasional travel to other nearby locations; and
• Medication administration and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience
• In the state of Texas, 6 months of hemodialysis experience within the last 24 months
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position

Compensation:

Salary Range $40-$60/hr. Based on experience.

Compensation offers are based on education, experience, skills, and geographic region.
