Job summary

Dialyze Direct is seeking an experienced RN nurse for a full-time, day-shift role in the Gainesville area. The role focuses on providing high-quality dialysis care, training, and home support where needed, with a fixed Monday–Friday schedule and no on-call requirements.

You will work closely with our team, facilities, and nephrologists to collect and record health data, develop care plans, and document interventions in the EMR. Travel to nearby locations is occasional.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license.
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred.
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Pass Ishihara color vision test.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds; safety sensitive role.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, training, and home support with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with Dialyze Direct team, facilities, and nephrologists.
• Record patient health data during/after hemodialysis.
• Develop and update a care plan to reach outcomes.
• Document interventions in EMR and manage lab procedures.
• Handle clerical tasks and maintain patient charts.
• Travel to nearby locations as needed; maintain professional demeanor.
• Administer medications and document administration.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• Fixed schedule/no on call
• Full Time
• Day shift only

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support (as needed);
• Works collaboratively with Dialyze Direct team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives and dedicated Nephrologists;
• Collects and records relevant patient health data in the course of/pre/post hemodialysis treatment;
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes;
• Implements and records interventions to attain expected outcomes in EMR;
• Performs laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedules missed or inadequate laboratory collections;
• Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care (i.e., filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.);
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues;
• Occasional travel to other nearby locations; and
• Medication administration and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience
• In the state of Texas, 6 months of hemodialysis experience within the last 24 months
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Successful passing of an Ishihara color vision test;
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position
