Job summary

Dialyze Direct is seeking an RN for full-time, day-shift nursing in New York. The role focuses on high-quality, frequent dialysis care with minimal supervision, applying critical thinking to patient needs. Expect collaboration with nephrologists and facility staff, along with documentation and care planning.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS certification, and 6 months of RN experience plus dialysis exposure. The position may require travel and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred.
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience.
• Texas requirement: 6 months of hemodialysis in last 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with Dialyze Direct team and facility staff and nephrologists.
• Record patient data before/during/after hemodialysis in EMR.
• Develop and maintain a plan of care to reach outcomes.
• Perform labs collection and processing; reschedule missed collections.
• Handle clerical tasks (filing, inventory, charting).
• Maintain positive, respectful attitude with patients and colleagues.
• Occasional travel to nearby locations.
• Medication administration and documentation.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• Full Time
• Day shift only

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to function at a high level with little oversight to provide nursing care, training, and home support (as needed);
• Works collaboratively with Dialyze Direct team members, skilled nursing home facility representatives and dedicated Nephrologists;
• Collects and records relevant patient health data in the course of/pre/post hemodialysis treatment;
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that describes interventions to attain expected outcomes;
• Implements and records interventions to attain expected outcomes in EMR;
• Performs laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures and reschedules missed or inadequate laboratory collections;
• Perform clerical tasks in addition to patient care (i.e., filing, inventory management, admission documentation, creating patient charts, etc.);
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude to all patients and colleagues;
• Occasional travel to other nearby locations; and
• Medication administration and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• 6 months of RN experience strongly preferred
• 3 months of hemodialysis experience
• In the state of Texas, 6 months of hemodialysis experience within the last 24 months
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association Required); and
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required
• This is a safety sensitive position

Compensation:

Salary Range: $40/hr-$60/hr. Based on experience.

Compensation offers are based on education, experience, skills, and geographic region.
