Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Yorktown Heights, NY is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the dialysis treatment team. Full-time schedule features three 13.33-hour shifts from 6:00am to 7:50pm with Sundays off and no overnight shifts.

Qualifikationen

• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Desire to collaborate with care teams.
• Ability to problem solve in a clinical environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.

Aufgaben

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
