Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our dialysis treatment process in a clinical setting. The PCT collaborates with the care team to deliver prescribed care, monitor patients, and ensure safety during treatments.

The position offers full-time, three 12-hour shifts starting early in the morning, Sundays off, and a paid training program. Competitive benefits accompany this mission-driven, nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program including classroom sessions and hands-on training
• Dialysis experience not required; job shadow opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
• Operate under RN supervision
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment
• Insert and remove patient access needles
• Monitor patients during dialysis and communicate concerns to the charge nurse
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight
• Prioritize tasks and manage workload
• Maintain patient privacy and professional relationships
• Maintain and track inventory
• Perform laboratory work
