Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support dialysis treatment and the care team in a nonprofit setting, emphasizing compassionate patient care and safety. This full-time role starts with three 12-hour shifts, 5am, and Sundays off.

No dialysis experience is required; DCI provides a 12-week education program, including classroom sessions and hands-on skills training, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program with training.

Responsibilities

• Infection control, risk management and patient education.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings.
• Role under RN supervision during treatment.
• Set up and breakdown dialysis blood system.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients, document changes and inform the charge nurse.
• Calculate weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Prioritize care and organize workload.
• Maintain patient privacy and rights; manage inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
