Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our mission-driven team in Missoula. You will support clinicians, assist with procedures, and help ensure safe, quality dialysis treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease.

The position offers full-time schedules, 10-hour shifts, Sundays off, and a starting pay of $20.50+ per hour, with paid training and extensive benefits upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
