Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Libby, MT is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our care team. The role provides direct patient support during dialysis, with RN supervision and responsibilities including vital signs, machine setup, and treatment monitoring.

We offer paid training, competitive benefits, and Sundays off. Full-time schedule includes four 10-hour or three 12-hour shifts starting early morning; no overnights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize work load accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
