Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a Float Registered Nurse with dialysis experience to join our Outpatient RN CAP 2 track. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients and may delegate tasks to other RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and patient care technicians.

The role emphasizes participation in quality improvement, education delivery to patients and families, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to optimize care and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with ability to perform duties under supervision within CAP 2.
• Includes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing duties under supervision of Supervisor and with guidance from Clinical Educator or Preceptor.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis, documents in medical record, and adjusts care plan as needed.
• Provides patient/family education and collaborates with the team to deliver safe dialysis therapy.
• Administers prescribed medications and participates in emergency response.
• Leads and mentors new staff as a resource and role model.
