Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing duties under supervision and guidance of the Clinical Educator or Nurse Leader.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis, documents in the medical record, and updates the plan of care.
• Provides patient/family education and support.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administers medications as prescribed and follows approved algorithms.
• Participates in emergency response and quality improvement activities.
