Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States, Arizona, San Carlos, seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1). This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group within the ESRD care team.

The CAP 1 RN will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, participate in teaching and quality improvement, and ensure adherence to nursing standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for assigned group.
• Delegate tasks to direct patient care staff including RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithm.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Educate patients and families and participate in staff training and orientation.
