Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Creve Coeur, MO seeks an Outpatient RN CAP 2 to join the nephrology/dialysis care team. This entry-level role supports assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients and may coordinate tasks with other RNs, LVNs/LPNs and patient care technicians.

You will participate in decision making, teaching and quality improvement activities while advancing through the Clinical Advancement Program as you gain experience in end-stage kidney disease care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and guidance of Clinical Educator or RN team leaders.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis.
• Educates patients and family about care plans and treatment options.
• Provides safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy with other care staff.
• Aggregates and documents nursing assessments and plans of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Participates in education and quality improvement activities at facility level.
