Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP program. The role involves coordinating clinically competent care, assessing patients during hemodialysis, and collaborating with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.

The RN will document data, adjust care plans as needed, and provide patient education. Responsibilities include medication administration, emergency response assistance, and participating in staff training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and guidance from the Clinical Educator and RNs.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis and updates the care plan.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs and treatment.
• Provides safe, effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Assists with emergency response measures as needed.
• Participates in staff training and orientation for new staff.
• Ensures proper laboratory collection, processing and documentation.
