Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet state practice requirements.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision and guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis and documents in medical records.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and therapies.
• Directs daily delivery of safe hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents effectiveness.
• Participates in emergency response measures and staff training.
• Ensures proper lab collection, handling, and timely documentation.
• Updates nursing assessments and care plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Discusses transplant and treatment modality options with patients.
