Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 designation. The role focuses on coordinating clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, with possible delegation to care staff as needed.

The position requires nursing graduation, current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and less than two years of nephrology nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under supervision with guidance from experienced RNs and supervisors.
• Conducts systematic data collection and analysis around hemodialysis treatment and documents in patient records.
• Educates patients and families on care needs and treatment plans.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Participates in emergency response measures as needed.
• Acts as resource for the health care team and assists with training of new staff.
