Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging under the direction of a radiologist. Examinations include abdominal, vascular, nonpregnant pelvic, and small parts studies, delivering high-quality images for interpretation.

You will provide patient-centered care, adhere to universal protocols, and support timely study completion while maintaining documentation in PACS and Epic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a 1-year DMA sonography program accred. by CAAHEP.
• RDMS Abdomen or OB/GYN at hire, or ARRT in Sonography; both registrations within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging under radiologist direction.
• Adhere to protocols; optimize image quality and patient safety.
• Provide age-appropriate care and adapt to diverse patient needs.
• Verify consent forms before invasive procedures; monitor emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records in PACS and Epic; support data entry.
• Conduct QC on equipment and report issues; reprocessing per policy.
• Follow MetriCide procedures and infection control practices.
• Collaborate with team and mentor students and staff.
