Grady Health System is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging under radiologist direction across abdominal, vascular, nonpregnant pelvic, and small parts studies. The role supports patient care, ensures image quality, and facilitates timely study completion.

The position involves diverse patient ages and requires adherence to universal protocol, safety standards, and efficient workflow within a busy radiology department.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of a one year Diagnostic Medical Sonography program accredited by CAAHEP.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Abdomen or OB/GYN at hire, with registration in both required within 18 months; OR ARRT Sonography (S) certification.
• Proficiency in MetriCide testing, knowledge of probe reprocessing, and proficiency with PACS and Epic.

Mansioni

• Perform ultrasound examinations in appropriate body planes according to physician orders and protocols.
• Provide age-appropriate care and adapt communication for diverse patient needs.
• Verify consent forms before invasive procedures in accordance with hospital policy.
• Monitor patient needs, recognize emergencies, and initiate life support as indicated.
• Maintain accurate patient and examination records in PACS and Epic; data entry and documentation.
