Ochsner Health System in Alabama is seeking an experienced ultrasound technologist to perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures in collaboration with staff radiologists. You will mentor junior staff and students while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in imaging.

Requirements include CAHEA-approved training in diagnostic medical sonography, RDMS or registry eligibility within 1 year, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Ability to present information clearly and professionally across patient care processes.
• Knowledge of abdominal anatomy and sonography procedures.

Responsabilités

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates ultrasound equipment and assists radiologists in guided procedures.
• Reviews patient images prior to transmission for diagnostic quality.
• Completes timely quality control procedures and notifications as needed.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, schedules, equipment).
• Adapts communication to patients and respects privacy.
• Performs other related duties as required.
