Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with emphasis on patient safety and accurate imaging. The role includes clerical duties, equipment operation, and collaboration with healthcare teams in a dynamic radiology department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED recognized.
• Completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification and NJ license required.
• Good communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting technical factors.
• Maintain patient safety and ensure proper beam restriction per ALARA principles.
• Perform portable x-ray exams in various care settings.
• Identify patient images correctly and document procedures.
• Prepare radiopaque contrast media and assist with administration as needed.
• Handle scheduling, patient instructions, and medical records duties.
• Support on-call, holidays and weekend coverage as required.
