Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Powdersville, SC is hiring a Radiological Technologist. Under the direction of an authorized user, you will perform diagnostic imaging with ionizing radiation, ensuring safety and quality in every procedure.

Qualifications include ARRT certification, state licensure preferred, BLS at hire, and 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care. EPIC EHR and PACS experience are preferred; competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associates from an ARRT accredited institute preferred.
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology required.
• State licensure preferred, depending on state requirements.
• BLS from American Heart Association required at hire for some locations; others prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and lab information for licensed practitioner use.
• Positions and immobilizes patients for imaging with attention to comfort.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopy and radiography; maintains aseptic technique.
• Performs required timeouts and procedures per policy.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
