Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform provider-ordered radiographic exams and support patient care under supervision. You will position patients, ensure radiation safety, and operate imaging equipment. The role may involve travel to other facilities as needed and some front desk duties.

The position requires licensure and a HS diploma; preferred are BLS and enrollment in a radiologic technology program. Epic EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Limited Scope Radiology Licensure or General Machine X-Ray Operator Licensure per state requirement.
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required prior to independent patient care).
• High School Diploma or GED (required); student in final year or graduate in radiologic technology training program (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs provider ordered radiographic examinations for specific anatomical parts allowed by licensure.
• Conducts proper patient positioning, immobilization, utilizing appropriate radiation protection.
• Determines and selects proper electronic and technical factors; reports equipment issues to supervisor.
• Assists in medical documentation and clinical assistant duties as directed by the Provider.
• Travels to other facilities or adjusts hours to meet patient care needs as directed by management.
• Performs cross-functional duties including front desk tasks such as registration and scheduling.
