Job summary
Bon Secours Mercy Health in Powdersville, SC is seeking a qualified X-Ray Technician to perform provider-ordered radiographic studies and support patient care under supervision. You will position patients, operate imaging equipment, document in the EMR, and participate in routine lab work and cross-functional duties while ensuring safety and infection control.
May travel to other facilities and adjust hours as needed.
Qualifications
- ARRT certification is required.
- BLS certification required prior to direct patient care.
- State licensure preferred, where required by state.
- 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.
- Experience with EPIC EHR and PACS preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection.
- Sets up immobilization equipment and ensures patient safety.
- Documents patient encounters within the EMR.
- Determines and selects factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
- May travel to other facilities and adjust hours to meet patient care needs.
