Qualifications

• Requires ARRT registration and Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license; BLS certification preferred.
• Completion of Clinical internship in a hospital setting.
• Two-year AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures to produce images for diagnosis and treatment.
• Obtains and documents patient history to perform appropriate exams.
• Documents IV/oral contrast used in medical records.
• Utilizes RIS with high accuracy in exam processing.
• Labels images with correct patient data and technologist initials.
• Ensures image quality through PACS quality control; minimizes repeats (<5%).
• Maintains ALARA by using the lowest reasonable radiation dose.
• Collaborates with team to provide optimal patient care; may work off-site as needed.
• Maintains licensure annually and adheres to Lahey Clinic policies and customer service standards.
