Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, VT is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures across OR, ER, fluoroscopy, and inpatient/outpatient settings. Emphasis on ALARA, patient safety, and precise documentation in RIS/PACS.

Maintains image quality with rigorous labeling and quality control. Flexibility for overtime, on-call, and holiday rotations; annual licensure required.

Qualifications

• Two year AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology education required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to produce images for diagnosis and treatment.
• Obtains and documents patient information/history to select appropriate exam.
• Uses RIS with accuracy to begin and complete exams.
• Labels images with patient information and technologist ID with high accuracy.
• Ensures QA of exams using PACS; monitors and improves image quality.
• Evaluates images to determine need for repeats; maintain repeat rate under 5%.
• Applies ALARA to minimize radiation exposure while achieving clear images.
• Collaborates with team to provide high-quality patient care; may work off-site as needed.
• Maintains annual licensure and adheres to policies and customer service standards.
• Transports patients and equipment; orientations and training as needed.
